Some business owners are happy to maintain their own books. For others it's a drain on their valuable time and diverts them from their core business activities.

 

The level of my involvement is up to you. I can update your books on a monthly basis for you, or I can take the output of your bookkeeping after your accounting year end in order to prepare your statutory accounts. 

 

If your business is VAT registered I can prepare and submit your VAT Returns to HMRC for you each quarter.

 

Cloud Accounting" (bookkeeping through any device with an internet connection) allows me to offer you a completely flexible service and to add more value. I can work collaboratively with you, proactively review your data, anticipate problems and generally help you keep on top of things. I can be as involved as you need me to be.

 

I use QuickBooks and FreeAgent for my cloud accounting but if you are already set up with another provider I am happy to work with your preferred software provider. If you use Excel based bookkeeping and wish to continue doing so, that's absolutely fine too. 

 

 

 

 

Even if you have only one or two employees it can be very time consuming keeping on top of your responsibilities to HMRC and to your staff.

 

I can release you of this burden by managing your payroll for you.

 

Legislation is constantly changing and penalties can be steep for any non-compliance or late payment, so it makes sense to let a qualified chartered accountant handle this for you.

 

I can ensure that your employees are paid the right amounts, have the right deductions made and that you pay over to HMRC the right tax and national insurance at the right time.

 

I can make all the necessary "Real Time Information" submissions to HMRC on your behalf and, after the end of the tax year, can produce P60s and P11Ds for your employees.

 

As and when changes are planned by the govenment I can ensure that you are kept fully up to date.

 

 

 

 

 

Employers currently face an additional administrative burden with the requirement that they set up a Workplace Pension Scheme and automatically enrol their eligible employees into it.

 

Whether or not your business has already reached its "staging date" for implementation, I can offer support and guidance to reduce this burden. This includes ensuring the correct contributions and refunds are processed through your payroll, assisting with written employee communications and handling record keeping and compliance duties to the Pensions Regulator.

 

If you haven't yet started planning for auto-enrolment I can help you understand your responsibilities by preparing a timeline for your business based on your "staging date". This shows the various actions that need to be taken before and after "staging", the important deadlines and compliance duties to both the Pensions Regulator and to your Pension Provider and the dates by which you must communicate to your employees on various matters.
