I'm a qualified ICAEW Chartered Accountant and LSE graduate with 30 years experience in both practice and business. 

 

I qualified with BDO, a leading accountancy firm, back in 1995. I spent 20 years or so acquiring commercial finance experience from roles in industries such as music, retail and telecoms, working for Sony, Dixons and BT.

I decided to set up my own accountancy practice in 2015 when I realised that my skillset left me very well placed to offer a high quality service to the small business community. I realised that I could help real people with real problems, gain a tremendous amount of job satisfaction from doing so and, at the same time, improve my quality of life by being my own boss.

 

I firmly believe that if you are passionate about what you do, and enjoy what you do, then that passion will translate into a better service to your clients. I love my job and work hard for each one of my clients - I'm constantly thinking of ways to help them and I take the time to fully address their queries.

 

So, what about me as a person? Well, I am a very approachable, friendly individual with an upbeat, positive outlook on life. I'm trustworthy and reliable, I'm naturally drawn to people and I naturally want to help them. Clients like me because I am flexible, responsive and diligent. I'm told that I explain things to them clearly and simply.

 

Outside of work, I often swap my calculator for a guitar or piano. I'm passionate about music and perform regularly at various local community events, often for charity. I also sing with a choir once a week which keeps my soul alive!
